Riverlea is located at Apple Tree Flat in the
Cudgegong Valley, a 12-minute drive south of Mudgee on the main
Mudgee-Lithgow road, and approximately 3.5 hours drive from Sydney.
Riverlea is very easy to find.
- If you’re driving north from Lithgow to Mudgee,
look for the ‘M20’ (Mudgee 20kms) road sign after passing by the
Lake Windamere Dam area. 1.5 kms after that sign take the right
hand turn into Riverlea Road, ours is the second property on the
left (about 700 metres down Riverlea Road).
- If you are driving south down the Mudgee to
Lithgow road, turn left down Riverlea Road which is approximately
2kms south of the Simon Gilbert Winery on the right, and 19kms
from Mudgee.
Mudgee is central to both Sydney and Newcastle,
and provides the perfect round trip to visit the Blue Mountains,
Mudgee, the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and back to Sydney in 3 or

Getting to Mudgee:
From Sydney:
3.5 hour drive (261 km). Take the Great Western Highway through
the Blue Mountains or alternatively the Bells Line of Road through
Windsor. Branch left off the Great Western Highway to Mudgee after
passing the Correctional Centre at Lithgow on the right.
From Newcastle:
3.5 hour drive (290 km). Take New England Highway to Singleton.
Turn off for Jerry's Plains, through Denman, Sandy Hollow, Merriwa.
Turn off for Mudgee just past the Cassilis intersection.
From Canberra:
6 hour drive (471km). Through Yass to Boorowa, Cowra, Canowindra,
Molong, Wellington to Mudgee. Alternatively Cowra to Bathurst, Sofala,
Ilford and Mudgee.
From Brisbane:
11 hour drive. Follow the Newell Highway to Dubbo then head East
for Mudgee or alternatively the New England Highway to Tamworth,
then through Gunnedah, Tambar Springs to Coolah and Mudgee.
